Polling Booth for the Australian Federal Election – October 1998.

There was an issue with the lights, due to the Hall being put up for sale the electricity had been turned off.

Before the close of the Polling Booth at 6 p.m. voting booths had to be moved to the western windows to get the last of the afternoon sun. After 6 p.m. ballot papers were bundled up and taken to Goodwood Primary School so the count could be conducted.

The Hall had been used as a polling place for quite a few decades so an interesting way to end this usage.
